Overview

To you Laketran may be just a bus, but to the 750,000 riders it serves each year that bus is everything.  With a fleet of 117 buses, Laketran operates 3 core services including local route buses, Park-n-Ride to Cleveland and door-to-door Dial-a-Ride getting people to work, doctor appointments, college and shopping for essentials.

Julia Schick is the Director of Communications and Marketing and it is her job to make sure residents are aware of the community transportation options to live successfully and independently here in Lake County.

Schick oversees media relations, marketing, advocacy, community outreach and travel training. Laketran is the proud winner of the 2008 Best of Show APEX award and numerous gold, silver and bronze awards.
