"Market Trends, Labels (and Wine)—It Will Stick!"
David Collins of Avery Dennison
David Collins from Avery Dennison will serve wine samples as he speaks about the importance of labeling as a communications tool in the process of selling wine. The average consumer chooses a bottle of wine based on many factors – and sometimes the final choice is made by the effectiveness of the label. David will share the steps his team at Avery Dennison takes to create appealing labels. He’ll also explain the challenges of communicating to several audiences in the sales chain: the companies that print the labels, the wine companies that make the wine and ultimately, the end user – people like us who drink the wine!
David currently serves as the manager of the Prime Paper Product Line Team and has been with Avery Dennison for almost five years. Prior to that, he held management positions at TTI Floor Care and Royal Appliance. He graduated from the Max M. Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University and received his MBA from John Carroll University.

Small Business Symposium: Road to $uccess
The Road to Success small business symposium will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Lakeland Community College main campus in Kirtland from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The event is designed for businesses of 500 or fewer employees or for those who are interested in starting a business.
